FAMILY ACTIVITIES IN BARBADOS Plum Tree Club is the perfect place for a relaxing family retreat. Have a
barbeque on the poolside grill and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.
There are numerous activities you can enjoy with the whole family. Explore under
the beautiful Caribbean Sea in the Atlantis Submarine and enjoy
unforgettable views of schools of brightly-coloured fish and tropical coral
reefs. Or see Barbados from a different perspective with an off-road safari
adventure in an open-back Jeep. It's an exhilarating ride through parts of
the island you'll never see on a regular island tour.
Kids and adults will love swimming with the turtles and snorkeling on a fabulous
catamaran cruise. Lunch, drinks and transfers are included so all you'll
need to pack is a towel, your camera and the sunscreen.
Ocean Park is another must-see. A state-of-the art aquarium with daily
shark and sting ray feeds, this exciting park also features a gift shop,
playground and on-site restaurant, so you can go for a whole day of fun.
Transfers are available on select days.
The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located in the beautiful Scotland
District in the north of the island, so even the journey to get there is
fun. See the Barbados Green Monkey roaming through the mahogany trees, along
with iguanas, turtles, deer and birds. You can visit the snake house and the
aviary and hike to the historic Grenade Hall Signal Station.
World-renowned Harrison's Cave is not to be missed. You'll never see
anything else like it--a network of beautifully-lit natural limestone caves with
cascading waterfalls and cool streams. Take a guided tram-ride between majestic
stalactites and stalagmites with photo stops along the way.
During the sugar crop season, visit the sugar factories and see first-hand how
Barbados' high-quality sugar is produced. A visit to the Portvale factory and
sugar museum is sure to be interesting and educational for all ages.
Just a short walk from Plum Tree Club, you can enjoy the Graeme Hall Nature
Sanctuary. This heritage site is a wonderfully-maintained series of walkways
through the mangrove wetland, where you can see many local and migratory birds.
The children will enjoy feeding the fish and watching the swamp birds from the
observation points. Then it's off to the aviary, where the parrots, flamingoes
and scarlet ibises provide a spectacular show.
There's always something to do in Barbados and we would be happy to send you any
information you need or make bookings for you before you arrive.
